Why buy roasted flax seeds from AHealthyBeat?

AHealthyBeat is a clinician led nutrition practice, and this is the only product we sell. We recommend flax seeds in consultations because the evidence supports them, so we decided to make a version we would happily eat ourselves: organic seeds, light roasting for crunch and digestibility, a pinch of rock salt, and nothing else. Every pack is FSSAI licensed and delivered fresh across India.

Flax seeds and your health goals

Flax shows up again and again in our clinical diet plans. Here is where the evidence points, with links to our full guides if you want the deeper reading.

Cholesterol and heart health

The soluble fibre and ALA omega-3 in flax seeds are among the best studied food based supports for healthy lipid levels. See our cholesterol diet plan and our article on ghee and cholesterol.

Blood sugar and diabetes

High fibre foods like flax slow the rise in blood sugar after meals and improve satiety. Read the full diabetes diet plan for how we build this into Indian meals.

PCOS and hormonal health

Flax seeds are a staple in our PCOS meal patterns for their fibre, lignans and healthy fats. Our PCOS diet guide covers what to eat and what to ignore.

Digestion and gut health

With 27.3g of fibre per 100g, flax is one of the simplest daily upgrades for regularity and gut comfort. More in the gut health diet plan.

Common questions about flax seeds

How many flax seeds should I eat daily?

1 to 2 tablespoons a day is a sensible amount for most adults, as a snack or split across meals. If you have a medical condition or are on blood thinners, check with your doctor or ask us during a consultation.

Roasted vs raw flax seeds: does roasting reduce the benefits?

Light roasting improves taste, crunch and digestibility while retaining the fibre, protein and most of the ALA omega-3. It also makes flax easy to eat daily, and consistency matters more than any single nutrient number.

Whole vs ground: which absorbs better?

Ground flax absorbs somewhat better, which is why we suggest grinding a portion fresh into atta, smoothies or dals. Whole roasted seeds still deliver the fibre and make an excellent everyday snack; the best form is the one you will actually eat consistently.

How is delivery charged and how long does it take?
